What can I use to clean my LCD screen?

What can I use to clean my LCD screen?

There is no specific product that can be recommended. Any product designed for cleaning an LCD screen will be fine. Please follow the instructions that came with the product carefully.
Caution: If the product does not include its own cleaning cloth, ensure that the cloth you are using is soft. Rugged materials such as tissue paper may leave scratches on the LCD screen. Ensure that you do not apply too much pressure to the display as you may cause damage.  Do not use tap water to clean screens, chemicals such as chloride can damage the screen.  Do not spray cleaning solutions directly onto the screen.  Never use cleansing agents like window cleaners, soap solutions etc. These contain chemicals that can harm the screen. In particular you should avoid anything that contains ammonia, acetone, toluene or ethyl alcohol.

Do I need to remove the battery when using my AC Adapter?

Do I need to remove the battery when using my AC Adapter?
It is not necessary to remove the battery when using AC power since the computer provides a "trickle charge" to the battery while on AC power. If, however, you plan to not use your computer at all for several days, it is not a bad idea to remove the battery. Just keep the battery in a cool and dry area.  A “trickle charge” means charging a battery at a similar rate as its self-discharging rate, thus maintaining a full capacity battery.  Most rechargeable batteries have a low rate of self-discharge, meaning they gradually lose their charge even if they are not used in a device

Laptop Problems/acer laptop wont turn on

Question
My acer aspire 5630 laptop cut out when i was using it and now wont turn back on. Before it cut out it got really hot. Now when i press the on button it lights up green and the green light next to the power light at the front of the laptop also lights up. the three lights next to the power button (one with a lock, one with a lock with an A on it) do not however light up, as they usually do when i turn the laptop on.
the laptop starts off making a humming noise, as though it is going to turn on then just stops, the power light, the green bulb light at the front and the dvd light remain on however but the screen is completely black.
i have tried turning the laptop on with the power lead and without. it registers the power lead because the battery light comes on. i have tried taking the battery out and leaving it for a few hours.
do you have any idea what the problem may be? Thanks
Answer
Heat is death to electronic components.

Sounds like initially you were triggering the CPU temp protective circuit, but that would allow you to restart once it cools down.

It is quite possible that your CPU got fried. Or it may be the thermostat is full of dirt.

If you have a vacuum cleaner. Try to pull the dirt out and try. You use compressed air cans to do the same as well.

Acer Laptop Wont Turn On? Here’s What To Do To Fix It!

Countless people complain about Acer laptops that won’t turn on!
Do you have an Acer laptop that won’t turn on at all, or at least from time to time?
No matter how many times you push the power button, the laptop does not power up…
———————————————–
You can leave the computer and come back to it hours later, only to find that it still won’t start up. Perhaps you notice a blinking, amber-colored light every time you press that infuriating power button. Have no fear, the answer (hopefully) to your long-awaited solution is here…
1.) Make sure your battery isn’t completely dead. As in–all the way dead, to where it can never charge again. Assuming your battery still works, continue on…
2.) Remove your battery from your Acer laptop. Yes, I know I just told you to make sure the battery works in number 1 but there is a reason for this.  I promise!
3.) Next, unplug the power adapter from the wall AND from the computer .When your Acer laptop doesn’t power up the problem could be worsened by leaving it plugged in.
4.) Now that the battery and adapter have been disconnected from the computer, you can move onto the solution. Hold down the power button for 45 seconds. Next, Press the power button numerous times for at least 45 more seconds (keep pressing the button during the entire time period).
5.) Allow the laptop to sit for 20 minutes at least (sometimes it will power on immediately after performing #4, but in worse cases this is encouraged)
6.) After the “waiting” period has ended, connect the battery and adapter to the computer. Turn it on and all should be good.
Your Acer laptop should now turn on!  Static buildup is a big problem in various Acer computers, which causes the computers to not turn on. The process highlighted above helps to discharge static electricity by eliminating the remaining amount of electricity stored in the laptop (capacitors).
